        Grant terms and conditions

KENWOOD CARES Australia & New Zealand supports eligible volunteer organisations with existing operational radio fleets.

        • Applications open 1 July and close 14 December each year. Unsuccessful applications are not carried forward.
        • Two equipment grants are available each year, each up to AUD $15,000 MSRP; the total annual allocation is up to AUD $30,000.
        • Only one communications system grant is awarded per organisation. Independent brigade or unit applications need written parent-agency approval.
        • Grants are KENWOOD-supplied equipment only, with no cash value or substitute. Equipment is subject to technical compatibility, licensing and availability.
        • Programming, installation, integration, licences, freight, training and support are outside the grant unless expressly included in the written award.
        • Applicants must demonstrate volunteer-based not-for-profit status, emergency services or public safety activities, an existing radio fleet, operational need and community benefit, and provide official financial information.
        • The program does not provide equipment for the following applicants or purposes:
          • Individuals or personal use.
          • Athletics, sporting or recreational organisations and activities.
          • For-profit organisations or commercial operations.
          • Organisations that unlawfully discriminate on grounds such as race, religion, sex, age, disability or national origin.
          • Political activities or political organisations.
          • Religious or sectarian activities or organisations.
          • Organisations that do not already operate a radio fleet, or applications unrelated to emergency services or public safety.
        • Applications are assessed on organisational need, service record or potential, community benefit and practical deployment. Complete information improves consideration; submission and dealer involvement do not guarantee selection.
        • Partner services and charges must be agreed separately. Recipients must obtain agency permissions and necessary licences, use equipment for the approved purpose and provide reasonable information about community benefit when requested.
        • KENWOOD may verify eligibility, request further information and decline incomplete or ineligible applications. Awards are subject to the published terms and applicable law.

Please provide organisation-level financial records and avoid unnecessary personal or banking details.

Applications close 14 December. Submitting this form does not confirm grant approval.
